Brian Wholley
Commercial Director
Brian brings over 25 years of experience in the Fermentation, Microbiology and Bionutrient industries and is responsible for all Sales and Marketing functions at Asymmetry.
He earned his degree in Microbiology from University of Georgia, graduating in 1996. Brian and his business partner, Lee Hanson, built a successful industrial biotech company where he was responsible for Global Sales and Management. After selling the business in 2008, he provided technical sales management at a multi-billion dollar BioNutrient company, traveling and supporting domestic and international business. Looking to continue his experience in microbiology and his pursuit of entrepreneurship, Brian again partnered with Lee to form Asymmetry Technologies.
Brian currently lives in Suwanee, GA with his wife and two children.
Lee Hanson
Research and Development Director
As the R&D director for Asymmetry, Lee is responsible for QA/QC and experimental design, in addition to overseeing all facets of the lab and fermentation. His experience with industrial biotech and fermentation dates back to 1994.
After earning his degree in microbiology from Georgia State University with a minor in chemistry, Lee worked as a formulation chemist and operations manager at two of the leading industrial compounding companies in the southeast.
Lee launched his first company in 1994, which was focused on industrial biotech and fermentation. He then partnered with longtime friend and partner, Brian Wholley, to build a successful industrial biotech company in the Metro Atlanta area. After selling that company in 2008 and enjoying a brief hiatus, Lee once again teamed up with Brian to launch Asymmetry.
A proud Georgia native, Lee was born and raised in the metro Atlanta area. His business ventures have enabled him to travel the world seeing and learning from business leaders and visionaries from Newcastle to Tokyo, and institutions ranging from Pepperdine University to good old UGA.
